In February 2025, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for all transportation goods and services rose 1.7% from February 2024. Transportation contributed 9.8% to the overall 2.8% increase in the price of all goods and services. Top Transportation Price Risers: Motor Vehicle Insurance: 11.1%; Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: 2.5%; Used Cars and Trucks: 0.6%. Transportation Price Decliners: Gasoline: -3.8%; Intercity Fares (excluding airfares): -0.4%; Car and Truck Rentals: -0.4%
