In April 2025, the U.S. airline industry (passenger and cargo airlines combined) employment increased to 1,012,668 workers. This includes 749,849 full-time and 262,819 part-time workers. That is an increase of 3,870 (0.38%) more workers than in March 2025. U.S. scheduled-service passenger airlines employed 547,424 workers in April 2025, or 54% of the industry-wide total. U.S. cargo airlines employed 460,968 workers in April 2025, or 46% of the industry-wide total.
